Today’s puzzle presented an interesting challenge with two words beginning with I, which made it tricky to differentiate the correct placement of certain letters. Identifying QUEEN early on helped significantly, as the rare Q limited possible word choices. I initially struggled with INCUR, but once I narrowed down the correct vowel placements, the solution became clear.

How to Play Quordle
For beginners, here’s a quick guide: Start by typing in any five-letter word. You have nine attempts to guess all four words. The challenge is that all four words are guessed at the same time.
- If a letter is in the correct spot, it turns green.
- If a letter is in the word but in the wrong place, it turns yellow.
- If a letter isn’t in the word at all, it remains gray.

Quordle History
Quordle was created by Freddie Meyer in 2022, inspired by Wordle and Dordle. Initially, David Mah developed a prototype before Meyer refined and expanded it. The game launched in February 2022 and quickly amassed over a million players within weeks.
In January 2023, Merriam-Webster acquired Quordle. Company president Greg Barlow described it as a “favorite” among employees and a “great addition” to the site’s game collection.
